The Board of Directors of the Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics (CCTM) will appoint a Technology Integration Specialist, effective Summer 2020, to provide technical support to the organization. As a voting member of the Board, the Technology Integration Specialist will:
  • attend in-person and virtual board meetings;
  • attend and support the annual CCTM conference and workshops;
  • support other work of the CCTM board of directors
Additional responsibilities unique to the Technology Integration Specialist include:
  • Create and maintain the organization website and membership platform, MemberClicks;
  • Maintain and grow board social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;
  • Support and execute a membership communication strategy, though the website, email, and social media accounts;
  • Support the registration process for the annual conference, regional workshops, and virtual professional learning events;
  • Create and provide access to a digital conference program for the annual conference;
  • Provide a report regarding website and social media activity for each board meeting;
  • Other relevant duties as mutually determined by the Technology Specialist and the Board of Directors.

The Board seeks an individual with the following qualifications and characteristics to fill this position.

  • Web design/maintenance experience (familiarity with structures, jargon, etc.)
  • Social media knowledge and experience
  • Ability to interact effectively with technology-minded people and with math educators
  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Patience, cooperation, and timeliness
  • Interest in supporting and growing the network of Colorado math educators
  • Math education experience in K-12 or higher education (preferred but not required)
  • CCTM member (required if appointed)
