Call for Nominations for the Spring 2017 Election

Nominations are now open for four positions with the Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics (CCTM). This is your opportunity to nominate someone who is willing to work for our professional organization and give something back to the Colorado Mathematics community.  Or you can nominate yourself!  This is a great chance to be involved and influence the future path of CCTM.  Elections will be held in the spring with all terms of office beginning June 1, 2017.

The offices of NCTM representative and region 1, 4, and 7 representatives are open this spring.

Three regions have openings for representatives.  Representatives serve for a three-year term and will represent their region at all Board meetings, promote membership in the Council, and encourage the support of Council activities.  The first region in need of representation is Region 1 which encompasses Denver, Littleton, Sheridan, Englewood and Mapleton Public Schools.  The second region is Region 4 which includes schools in St. Vrain Valley, Brighton 27J, and the Northeast counties of Larimer, Weld, Morgan, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma and Washington.  The third region is Region 7 which includes districts in Douglas, El Paso, Elbert, and Teller counties.  All regional representatives must reside or be employed in the region represented.

One additional position that is open is for NCTM representative, which is for a three-year term.  This person is responsible for the ordering, selling, and returning of books and materials for the annual CCTM convention.  S/he will also be the CCTM voting representative at the Delegate Assembly held prior to the spring national NCTM convention.

If you would like to know more about the duties of any of the positions, please email me at  Nominations will close February 17, 2017. Please use the button below to submit your form.  Thank you.
