The district analyzes students annual growth, instructional practices, contributions to the professor, proof of being a life-long learner, and leadership within the profession. After going through this process, Harrison recognizes me as a Distinguished Teacher.

I collaborate with all primary grades across the district to implement best instructional practices for Eureka Math and Common Core Standards. Our focus to develop conceptual understanding of math practices. We discuss potential struggles that students may encounter throughout lessons. We also analyze student data to obtain a clear understanding of student mastery. This helps teachers to become more effective. I worked with another colleague to establish a deliberate practice in our building. We implemented a system that allowed teachers to practice the deliverance of Eureka lessons to other teachers prior to instructing students. This system allowed teachers to understand the coherence of the current lesson being taught and next steps.
